About

Thanks for dropping by.  I’m always interested in connecting with like-minded (and not-so-like-minded) people!  Here’s more about me, so you can determine just how like-minded (or not) we might be…

I am, and always will be, the quintessential Jack-of-All-Trades — the ultimate utility player.  My true passions are writing, communicating, and teaching.  My talents, however, extend to graphic design, project management, multimedia development, scoring goals in soccer, and following recipes.  In a nutshell…I’m a creative-type with strong left-brained sensibilities and an athletic streak.

Over the last twelve years, I’ve taught seventh graders (I don’t recommend it), designed corporate websites, created multimedia applications, managed large-scale clinical research projects, developed and implemented corporate communication strategies in the pharmaceutical industry, and written a screenplay (no, it hasn’t sold…yet).

I love to engage audiences with rich content designed just for them, just for that moment.  I know that social media is changing the way we interact, changing our expectations of how organizations, corporations, and other individuals engage us, and I’m eager to be part of that change.  I’d love to hear from you!

  3. Hi Jamie,

Well, I’m interested that you wrote a screenplay – that seems to come from left-field, never mind left brain. What inspired you and what’s it about?

    • Hi Angelina,

Thanks for stopping by. Yes, the screenplay did come from left field (coincidentally, that’s the position I played for my college softball team). My main inspiration was a torn ACL, which sidelined me from sports for a year. In retrospect, it was a gift of time that allowed me to focus my creative energies on a writing project.

The screenplay is about an Emily Dickinson professor who’s in love with her soon-to-be sister-in-law. ED is fascinating, and it was an opportunity for me to explore her poetry and weave some elements of her life into the screenplay (some say she actually was in love with her sister-in-law). It was fun to write, but the revisions have me a bit stymied at the moment.

How about you? Any interest in writing a screenplay? I see you have a book out. Congratulations! I also saw that you live in LA, and you’re a Sagittarius. I grew up in LA, and I’m a Sagittarius too. The coincidences abound. 🙂

      Great meet you!

      Jamie
